Gorenje announced it will buy Dutch firm ATAG Europe B.V. for 130 million euro (approx. US$201.7 million). The acquisition includes the Atag brand name.
"(This) is an historical milestone for Gorenje ... and enables important strengthening of Gorenje Group position in Europe," Gorenje said.
ATAG Europe had a net profit of about 11 million euros in 2007 on sales of 150 million.
