Sub-Zero and Wolf Appliance have announced the recipients of their international Kitchen Design Contest. Eleven kitchens were selected by a panel of industry professionals to received top honors, earning more than US$110,000 in cash prizes.
Launched in 1993, the biannual competition is a nod to innovative use of space, design excellence, and integration of Sub-Zero and Wolf appliances. Entries reflected current market trends -- including smaller, high-quality kitchens; diverse materials and textures; repurposing of vintage or used items; and sustainable design.
This year marks the debut of the Designers’ Choice Award -- the winner was selected from the 48 regional winners by trade professionals.Contest regional and specialty winners received a cash prize and a trip for two to the Hyatt Regency Scottsdale Resort and Spa at Gainey Ranch in Scottsdale, AZ, where the awards reception was held.
