Haier says Sales Abroad to Grow 50% Per Year Mar 20, 2008

Appliance maker Haier said it expects its overseas sales to grow as much as 50% annually in the next three to five years as the company explores new markets in Africa and Latin America.Haier's overseas sales grew 25.8% last year to US$4.1 billion, accounting for one-fourth of the group's total revenue of $16.2 billion.

Haier, parent of listed Qingdao Haier Refrigerator Co , has set up operations in more than 30 countries and employs more than 50,000 workers. (AP)
