The Vita-Mix Corp. introduced its first new Vita-Mix household blender in 15 years--the Vita-Mix 5200. The blender has a new container made from a new material by the Eastman Chemical Company called Tritan copolyester, a shatterproof material that is BPA-free, a first in the home appliance market.

According to the company, the blender can do the work of 10 kitchen appliances and perform 35 different processes without any separate attachments, including making ice cream, grinding grains to make flour, kneading dough, making whole food juice–and making hot soups heated by nothing more than the blades spinning at 240 MPH.
