Best Buy Canada Acknowledges Blu-ray as Winner for High-Def Player Format Feb 26, 2008

Best Buy Canada will shift its focus to promote the Blu-ray format to its customers for their high definition format choice. The retailer said it will support its customers who have purchased HD-DVD players by continuing to offer HD movie titles as part of its current product assortment, while consumer demand exists. Yet, over the coming months, Best Buy Canada will transition out of the HD-DVD player business. Beginning early March, the retailer will prominently showcase Blu-ray hardware and software products in its stores and online at BestBuy.ca.
