Eureka has launched the envirovac vacuum, an eco-friendlier, full-sized upright that reportedly reduces energy consumption, comes with a reusable, washable HEPA filter to lessen waste, and utilizes 100% recycled cardboard packaging.
"The Eureka envirovac is the ideal vacuum for consumers looking to reduce energy consumption without sacrificing a clean home," said Jackie Cooper, director of marketing and communications for Eureka. "It uses just 960 watts of energy an hour, as opposed to the 1440 watts of energy used per hour by the standard upright vacuum, which means less energy is produced to run the vacuum and less harmful emissions are created."
Created to save energy, envirovac's 8-A motor provides the same powerful cleaning results while reportedly using 33% less energy than the usual 12-A motor. The washable HEPA filter captures 99.97% of dust, allergens and small particles and helps maintain a cleaner home. The vacuum also features Power Paw with Riser Visor power brush--a tool designed to tackle stairs, upholstery, and pet hair. Its flip-top hood cleans vertically and horizontally, reducing awkward sideways or upside-down positions.
The vacuum will be available for US$72.22.
