Bosch Touts Success of Shrub and Grass Shear Jul 21, 2008

Bosch Power Tools reported that it has sold more than 1 million Isio shrub and grass shear, in part, due to the lithium-ion technology that the outdoor power tool uses. Bosch said it was the first manufacturer, in 2007, to use the high-performance batteries, which have neither memory effect nor long charge times, in garden tools.

"Our small, lightweight and powerful garden tools mark a clear trend", says Peter Löffler, Director of the Lawn and Garden product division of the Power Tools Division of Bosch. "The sale of 1 million Isios in less than one and a half years completely exceeds our expectations. The Isio is the best-selling Bosch garden tool and supports our position as market leader for cordless garden tools in Europe."
