Circuit City Stores named Jeffrey S. Stone executive vice president -- New Business Development. Stone will oversee the growth and development of The City concept stores, firedog, services and ongoing innovation work.

Stone was most recently president and chief operating officer of Tivoli Audio, LLC, a manufacturer of high-end audio devices. Prior to Tivoli, Stone spent 15 years at Tweeter Home Entertainment Group, Inc., joining as president and chief operating officer in 1990 and named CEO in 1999. During his tenure, Tweeter grew from a 13-store regional chain into a 177-store chain generating more than US$825 million in sales.
