Siemens Home Appliances has won two Good Design Awards from the Chicago Athenaeum Museum of Architecture and Design for its avantGarde iSlide Convection Wall Ovens and its avantGarde touchSlide Electric Cooktops.
The Siemens avantGarde iSlide Convection oven offers chefs the ultimate in control and performance with its iSlide control. Instead of knobs, the wall ovens feature a "scroll" control. The cook merely slides a finger around this smooth circular groove to easily select or adjust the temperature. The iSlide oven also features true European convection, 16 pre-programmed cooking modes, a full 4.7 cubic foot cavity capacity, and European styling with a flush design.
The avantGarde touchSlide cooktop has a touchSlide control, which complements its flush European design, and allows the user to easily select from among 17 power levels, or to readjust the temperature. Additional features include size adaptable burners, a bridge element allowing the use of oblong pans, and a 2700 three-ring burner for extra large cookware.
