Karyo Elected to IHA Board of Directors

Michael C. Karyo, CEO of SiliconeZone USA, was elected to the board of directors of the International Housewares Association (IHA). Karyo's term begins immediately and ends Sept. 30, 2010.

Karyo launched SiliconeZone, a leading manufacturer of silicone cookware, bakeware, kitchen tools, and utensils, in 2001. Prior to that, he worked for Catamount Glass from 1990-2001, serving as vice president for the manufacturer of heat-proof glass cookware and glass kitchen tools and utensils. Karyo also is a member of IHA's Government Affairs Committee.

Also serving on the IHA Board are Matthew L. Andis, president, Andis Company; Marty Armstrong, vice president, Sales, KitchenAid; Richard L. Boynton, president, Capresso, Inc.; Peter B. Harper, president/CEO, Harper Brush Works; Keith Jaffee, CEO, Focus Products Group LLC; Bruce Kaminstein, president, Casabella Holdings LLC; Mary Ann Knaus, senior vice president, Strategic Development and Global Marketing, Jarden Consumer Solutions; Gavin Lam, CEO, Lynns Concepts, Inc.; Marc J. Navarre, president/CEO, Groupe SEB North America; Karl H. Pfitzenreiter, president/CEO, Zwilling J.A. Henckels; William Reibl, president/CEO, Progressive International Corp.; Jeff Siegel, CEO, Lifetime Brands and IHA Vice Chairman/Chairman Elect; and Robert L. Trudeau, chairman, Trudeau Corp. and IHA Treasurer.

Serving on the executive committee of the board are Peter Cameron, Jeff Siegel, Robert Trudeau, James Glenn, Barry Harper and Bruce Kamenstein.
