The Outdoor Power Equipment Institute (OPEI) announced that nine companies have joined the 77-member organization since October 2006. The companies are:

• The Gates Corp.
• Shoppers Charge Accounts
• Sycamore Professional
• Thomson Plastics
• Trilink Sawchain
• White Drive Products.
