CompUSA opened a new-format store in Texas which includes elements that will be incorporated into other CompUSA stores across the United States. The 25,000-sq.-ft. relocation has an Apple shop, a full-length LCD TV wall, expanded gaming and business services sections, and a redesigned IT support area. It includes an entire wall devoted to the Nintendo Wii, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360 gaming platforms, plus a PC gaming setup to test equipment and play new titles. The Texas store also has a Techie Parts section, which offers a selection of motherboards, processors, power supplies, CPU cases, high-end video cards, and other computer parts for customers who wish to build their own custom PCs.
