Procter & Gamble said its grooming and oral-care units registered increases in sales during the third quarter. The grooming sector's sales jumped 9% to US$2 billion in the quarter, driven by growth in its global blades and razors business. However, the Braun unit reported a decline in sales volume, which occurred due to softness in the segment's home appliances products. Net earnings for the grooming unit jumped 17% in the third quarter, to $451 million.
