Groupe SEB said operating profit jumped 41% to €165 million (approx US$237 million) in the first nine months of 2007, to September, from €116.8 million ($168 million) a year ago. Group sales increased 10.6% to €1.912 billion ($2.75 billion). Sales climbed 12.2%.
Debt grew to €573 million ($824 million), mostly because of the cost of the acquisition of a 30% stake in China's Zhejiang Supor Cookware Co. at the end of August.
