15 of the 85 Wal-Mart hypermarket stores acquired last July by Metro AG will be closed, according to AFX News. In a statement, Metro said that the remaining 70 hypermarkets are to be converted to its Real brand by the middle of 2007. Wal-Mart's Wuppertal headquarters is scheduled to close in the third quarter of 2007, the company added.
