Carrier Carries Through Dec 26, 2006

Global air-conditioning giant Carrier Corporation also had positive numbers to report by the end of the third quarter of 2006. Parent company United Technologies Corporation reported its third-quarter results for the period ending Sept. 30, 2006. Carrier showed revenues of U.S. $3.607 billion in revenues for the third quarter, compared to $3.351 billion in 2005. Revenues for the 9 months so far were $10.262 billion for 2006, compared to $9.469 for the first 9 months of 2005.

Carrier's profits were up to. Profits were $430 million for the third quarter, compared to 2005's $367 million. 2006's 9-month profits were $1.044 billion, compared to 2005's $912 million.
