HRAI Receives EPA "Best of the Best" Award Oct 3, 2007

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) honored the Heating, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Institute of Canada (HRAI) with the Best of the Best Stratospheric Ozone Protection Award. The award recognizes HRAI's leadership in the development and implementation of environmental initiatives, including thefederal/provincial training program that covers environmental awareness for refrigerant handlers, refrigerant management training in 16 developing countries, and the Refrigerant Management Canada extended producer responsibility program.

The award was presented during the 20th anniversary meetings of the Montreal Protocol on Substances that Deplete the Ozone Layer.

HRAI also won an EPA Stratospheric Ozone Protection Award in 1993.
