People: Ed Y. Chan of Wal-Mart’s 66-store China Nov 7, 2006

Ed Y. Chan will succeed Joe Hatfield as head of Wal-Mart’s 66-store China retail business. Chan will be president and CEO of Wal-Mart China.  He will join the company in November and take over leadership of the China retail operations in February.  Hatfield will remain engaged in the business in a senior advisory position.
