Royal Philips Electronics has appointed Stephen H. (Steve) Rusckowski to the position of CEO of Philips Medical Systems. Rusckowski succeeds Jouko Karvinen, who was named CEO of paper company Stora Enso Oyj and reports to Gerard Kleisterlee, president and CEO of the company. Rusckowski will become a member of Philips’ Group Management Committee. The company’s supervisory board will propose to the next regular general meeting of shareholders to appoint Rusckowski as a member of the Board of Management.
