Panasonic Offers Green Donation Promo Sep 21, 2007

Panasonic is targeting environmentally conscious consumers in a new e-business initiative, called Panasonic Direct Giving Back, that will enable customers who purchase products from Panasonic's Web site during the holiday season to direct 5% of the purchase price to one of three environmental organizations that they will select.

Panasonic said the initiative covers all products offered for sale on the Web site and will be operated at no additional cost to the consumer. The donation is made wholly by Panasonic.

Panasonic will make the donation as directed by the purchaser based on 5% of the purchase price, less tax and shipping. The three environmental causes selected to benefit, based on customer preference, include: The Nature Conservancy's Rescue the Reef, National Recycling Coalition's America Recycles Day, and World Resources Institute's Green Power Market Development Group.
