Toshiba to Equip Cardiac Imaging Facility Nov 29, 2006

Toshiba of Canada Medical Systems Group today announced that it will be supplying the Peter Munk Cardiac Centre with North America's most technologically advanced and comprehensive cardiac imaging equipment. The cost of this highly sophisticated equipment is approximately CAD $23 million (approx. U.S. $20 million).

The medical imaging technology will be installed in phases over the next 24 months and includes some of the following: Two or three of the world's most advanced Aquilion CT cardiac scanners, several Infinix Cardiac/Angio Labs, Hemo Dynamics and Cardiac C-PACS from McKesson, Toshiba's innovative IVR system with integrated CT and Angio
capabilities, several dozen of Aplio ultrasound systems, and a comprehensive ultrasound networking system.
