GE Healthcare, a unit of General Electric Company, kicked off its participation in the 2006 Radiological Society of North America (RSNA) conference in Chicago with a focus on the company’s “Radiology Re-imagined” theme along prominent displays of breakthough products that highlight the company’s exhibit booth.

Among the technologies displayed in the GE Healthcare booth: the 2007 LOGIQ(R) 9 Ultrasound system that has third-generation Speckle Reduction Imaging in High Definition (SRI-HD) and Tomographic Ultrasound Imaging (TUI).

The Senographe(R) Essential’s groundbreaking 24 cm by 31 cm active field of view is the largest field of view for mammography available in the industry, and means that the Essential can precision-image virtually any woman, in a single exposure per view.

The Advantage Workstation (AW) VolumeShare 2TM, an advanced image visualization and analysis tool built on the trusted Advantage Workstation(R) platform, that optimizes workflow while providing uncompromising image quality, applications flexibility, reliability, and speed.

GE’s next generation MR-guided intra-operative surgical suite, which uses 3-D imaging to navigate and validate treatments to help increase both the accuracy and speed of interventions while improving patient outcomes.

The Signa(R) HDx 3.0T MR system has parallel imaging, a new reconstruction engine and extensive advanced XV applications.

The Innova(R) 3131 BiPlane Imaging System allows physicians to simultaneously image multiple angles for critical procedures--including cardiology, neurology and oncology.
GE’s combined Centricity(R) Imaging PACS 3.0 and AW Suite 2.0 advanced visualization solution allows on-demand access to raw data which provides clinicians with tools necessary for sifting through most data-intensive procedures--optimizing workflow, image quality, application flexibility, and speed without needing to move to a separate workstation.

GE's Centricity Imaging RIS-IC solution, is a web-based radiology information management software aimed at helping clinicians manage the administrative and clinical requirements of a radiology department—from a community hospital to an out-patient imaging center to the complex needs of the integrated delivery network (IDN).

Also during RSNA, the GE “Expert Learning Experience” will provide a unique customer 3-stop interactive experience at new learning centers kiosks, called “Expert Bars.” The Expert Bars will provide clinicians with personalized learning sessions as well as a look at GE’s vision for the future of healthcare.

GE's Technology Pavilion at RSNA highlights healthcare research and development including the new, targeted diagnostics, as well as information technologies solutions and imaging equipment that will enable physicians to predict, diagnose, inform, treat and monitor disease.
