GE Appliances is launching a new line of appliances, the Cafe series, for homeowners who want both the restaurant-style look of stainless steel and high performance for serious cooking. The line, which will be available next month, includes a gas range, an over-the-range microwave, a dishwasher, a refrigerator, and a vent hood.
Recent statistics show more Americans are dining at home in larger kitchen spaces, which also are used for entertaining. The Cafe series is designed to appeal to those consumers, GE says. Because each appliance in the line is free-standing, upgrading and adding to the collection is easy, according to the company.
