Gateway, Inc. reported results for its second quarter ended June 30, 2007. Revenue amounted to US$841 million, down from $919 million a year earlier. Gross margin for the second quarter was 7.6%, compared with 4.9% in the prior quarter and 5.5% in the second quarter of 2006. Retail gross margin for the second quarter was 5.6%, compared with 3.1% in the prior quarter and 3.7% a year ago.
The company sold 1,088,400 PC units in the second quarter, down 13% sequentially and down 7% year-over-year.
