Glen Dimplex is cutting about 70 jobs at its factory in Merseyside, England. The former Stoves factory employs about 1000 workers, who are already working on a four-day week due to falling demand.

Chief Executive Denver Hewlett said the reductions were necessary to ensure the business survived the recession.
