PMA Launches Spanish-Language Technical Forum Oct 31, 2006

The Precision Metalforming Association (PMA) launched an online Spanish technical forum for Spanish-speaking companies in metal stamping, tool and die, sheet metal fabricating, and assembly. The resource allows manufacturers to ask questions and share information on common manufacturing issues and best practices.

The forum is divided into four sections: processes and technologies, materials, business solutions, and design. Topics covered in the processes and technologies section include metal stamping; tool and die; sheet metal fabricating and forming; welding; surface preparation and finishing; and assembly. The materials section contains information on metal specifications, uses and types of metals, material handling, and standards equivalents. Topics addressed in the business solutions area include process and production software, safety and quality. This section also contains a job forum. The design area includes discussions on part design, design software, and design of dies and molds.

PMA said it created the section response to suggestions from previous Metalform Mexico trade show attendees, PMA Mexico seminar participants and PMA Mexico members. The form can be accessed from the Web site at:
