Middleby Worldwide Names Valentino President Oct 25, 2006

Commercial appliance maker The Middleby Corporation (Elgin, Illinois, U.S.) named Michael Valentino president of Middleby Worldwide effective immediately. He will report to Chairman and CEO Selim A. Bassoul.

“Michael brings a wealth of experience in working with restaurant chains and global trends,” said Bassoul. “The global commercial foodservice market is growing at double the rate of the domestic market, which is driven by U.S. and regional chains. Michael will be the driving force in enhancing our infrastructure and penetrating emerging markets around the world.”

Most recently Valentino was vice president of sales and marketing and business manager for foodservice equipment manufacturer Prince Castle, Inc. At Middleby, Valentino will be responsible for all international sales and distribution activities for Middleby brand commercial cooking equipment. Brands include Middleby Marshall, Southbend, Blodgett, Pitco, MagiKitch’n, Nu-Vu, and Toastmaster. He will continue to build upon Middleby’s current international sales infrastructure to increase sales and brand awareness around the world.
