According to Reuters, Sony Corp. may cut prices of it Playstation 3 game console and change its full-year earnings forecast, due to the costly recall of its batteries. Sony will recall 90,000 of its Vaio brand laptop computer batteries in Japan and China, adding itself to the list of companies that have already recalled 8 million batteries, which can overheat and catch fire on rare occasion. The other companies recalling the Sony-made batteries are Dell, Apple, Hitachi, Fujitsu, Lenovo, and Toshiba.
