Gateway announced that its eMachines-branded desktop PCs will be available in select Denkodo stores later this month.

The agreement is another example of the strong momentum and consumer acceptance of the Gateway and eMachines brands by leading electronics and technology retailers and their customers in Japan.

"The success of the Gateway and eMachines brands in Japan has been fueled by our outstanding relationships with leading retailers like Denkodo," said Ed Fisher, Gateway's senior vice president of international. "Denkodo is trusted by millions of consumers in Japan for providing a wide variety of high quality home appliances and electronics backed by excellent customer service. Our eMachines PCs will be an excellent addition to Denkodo's extensive product assortment."

Denkodo has 157 branch stores and subsidiaries throughout Kanto, Tohoku and Hokkaido.
