Miele Italy will be exhibiting its newest commercial tumble dryers featuring its patented honeycomb drum at Expo Detergo in Milan. The newest dryer has an 800-L drum to provide high laundry throughput - the PT 7801 tumble dryer has a load capacity of 32 kg based on a load-to-volume ratio of 1:25. The unit is designed to dry a 32-kg load of laundry in half an hour. The honeycomb drum is said to result in textiles that are less creased.
Miele says that, for users seeking high laundry throughput of regular, sturdy items, the load-to-volume ratio can even be reduced to 1:20, allowing even 40 kg of laundry to be processed in a single load.
The honeycomb drum is designed to create air pockets in the outward-arching hexagons of the sculptured drum. These act like suction pads to transport laundry. The same air pockets also gently catch and cushion textiles when they tumble to the bottom of the drum, which is said to create less creasing.
New controls offers a range of program packages for different kinds of laundry loads, and Miele designed an intuitive graphic display that shows available programs one after the other to make selecting the program, using the rotary selector switch, especially easy. The Profitronic M controls, which were developed by Miele, allow the user to program individual parameters and create up 199 custom drying cycles.
An option on the dryer is a chip card reader, allowing new drying programs to be quickly downloaded to the machine.
Expo Detergo International will take place November 11-13, and is sponsored by The Assofornitori Association, encompassing washing, pressing, logistics, textile rental, and associated industry companies. Miele will exhibiting in Hall 3 (A 40 – 42/B 41 – 43).
