LG Electronics was honored by Sears Holdings Corp. with a Partners in Progress award. The LG Electronics USA Digital Appliance OEM Division received the award for excellence in producing Kenmore-brand countertop microwave ovens for Sears Holdings. The Partners in Progress award is presented annually to select supplier companies that provide Sears with quality products and services. Less than 1% of Sears' 41,000 suppliers earn the award each year.
Winning companies were hosted at an awards ceremony this week by Aylwin B. Lewis, CEO and president of Sears Holdings.
"Partners in Progress was started more than 20 years ago and is a testament to the importance we place on having strong supplier relationships," said Lewis. "The Partners in Progress program allows our company to recognize those suppliers who have gone above and beyond to support Sears Holdings' in our efforts to better serve our customers and grow profitably by working together."
