Thomson Core Revenues Grew 4.4% in Q1 Apr 27, 2007

Consumer electronics maker Thomson (Paris) said that, for the quarter ending March 31, 2007, total revenues were 1,252 million euros (approx. U.S. $1.706 billion) for the quarter. Of this total, Core Business reported revenues were 1,240 million euros (approx. $1.689 billion), up from 1Q06 core revenues of 1,237 million euros (approx. $1.685 billion). Currency movements were significant and decreased Core Business revenues during the quarter by 53 million euros (approx. $72 million). Core Business revenues at constant currency were therefore 1,293 million euros (approx. $1.762 billion), an increase of 4.4 percent year-on-year.

"We have had a positive start to the year, with our revenue growth in line with our 2007-9 objectives," said Chairman and CEO Frank E. Dangeard. "We had particularly good performances in Access Products, Network Services and DVD Services and launched new products and services for our customers which will drive growth in the quarters to come.”
