CE Executives to Speak at Hometech Middle East Apr 24, 2007

Consumer Electronics Association (CEA) President and CEO Gary Shapiro will deliver the opening keynote address at Hometech Middle East, the region's largest tradeshow for consumer technology.

Hometech Middle East is focused on consumer electronics, home automation and home appliances. Hometech 2007 is expected to surpass 2006 in terms of exhibitor growth and exhibit space by more than 50 percent.

Executives from CEA's Board of Industry Leaders, including Noel Lee, head monster, Monster Cable; Jay McLellan, president and CEO, Home Automation Inc.; and CEA Senior Vice President of Industry Relations Todd Thibodeaux, are also scheduled to speak. Hometech Middle East is produced by Messe Frankfurt and sponsored by CEA, and is scheduled for May 13-15 at the Dubai International Convention Centre in Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE).

"The Middle East region is experiencing tremendous growth with more than $47 billion invested in new housing construction in the UAE alone," Shapiro said. "This surge in economic growth provides incredible opportunities for consumer technology companies looking to expand their brand internationally."
