Textron Inc. (Providence, Rhode Island, U.S.) said its Jacobsen business unit sold its commercial grounds care product lines to Commercial Grounds Care, Inc., an affiliate of Schiller-Pfeiffer, Inc., located in Southampton, Pennsylvania, U.S. The sale includes the Jacobsen Johnson Creek, Wisconsin, U.S. manufacturing facility, a leased service parts facility in Dalton, Ohio, U.S., and products branded Bob-Cat(R), Bunton(R), Ryan(R), Steiner(TM) and Brouwer(R). The transaction closed on Friday, August 18. Terms were not disclosed.
The sale enables Jacobsen to heighten its focus on its golf and professional turf-related markets with equipment manufactured in Charlotte, North Carolina, U.S. and Ipswich, England.
