Consumer electronics maker Syntax-Brillian Corp. announced new agreements with distribution and retail partners that are expected to further enhance its Olevia LCD TV brand worldwide.
Syntax-Brillian has begun shipping its Olevia LCD TVs to new retailers The Source by Circuit City, Queen City and distributor Digital Delivery Group, and is expected begin shipping to retailer Pamida. The agreements, coupled with a recently announced marketing program to promote the Olevia brand on ESPN and ABC media properties from September 2006 through March 2007, are expected to advance Olevia's position as a 'Top Ten' LCD TV brand in North America.
In South America, Syntax-Brillian signed an agreement with Caracas, Venezuela-based Grupo-Denim to introduce Olevia 5 and 7 Series LCD HDTVs in Venezuela, which is experiencing high demand for quality consumer electronics. Sales are expected to begin in the quarter ending Sept. 30, 2006 at major retailers throughout Venezuela.
The agreement with Grupo-Denim, which has more than 30 years of experience in marketing and distributing products in Venezuela for brands such as Disney and Mattel, addresses the first location served by Olevia Senna do Brasil, a recently announced joint venture between Syntax-Brillian and Group Senna of Brazil.
Additionally, Syntax-Brillian entered into a distribution agreement with Hong Kong-based South China House of Technology for the distribution of Olevia 3 Series, 5 Series and 7 Series LCD TVs to retailers in Hong Kong and throughout China including Dazhong Electronics, Fortress, Jiangsu Five Star Appliance Co. (Five Star), as well as several others. Sales of the new Olevia 3, 5 and 7 Series LCD TVs are expected to begin in the quarter ending Sept. 30, 2006.
According to DisplaySearch, Olevia is currently one of the three top-selling LCD TV brands in the 25 inch to 29 inch category in China, and is among the top ten brands in the 35 inch to 39 inch category.
