Husqvarna completed the acquisition of the assets of Dixon Industries Inc. and plans to move Dixon production to its plant in Beatrice, Nebraska, U.S. An AP report says about 150 jobs will be added in Beatrice.

As APPLIANCE reported in early July, Dixon is a maker of consumer and professional zero-turn riding lawnmowers and was a subsidiary of Blount International Inc. Dixon made an operating profit of U.S. $3.1 million last year on sales of $54.4 million. Husqvarna paid Blount approximately $34 million for Dixon.
