Haier America is expanding its Camden, South Carolina, U.S. plant with the launch of a 25-cubic-foot, three-drawer refrigerator/freezer that offers a flexible storage drawer. The drawer has an internal volume of 4.6 cubic feet and converts from refrigerator to freezer with the touch of a button. Haier will invest U.S. $6 million in equipment at its facility in Steeplechase Industrial Park. In addition, the company will hire 128 new workers to staff the new product line. The company expects to start hiring for the new expansion later this month. Back
