Home Director, Inc., provider of infrastructure, entertainment and control products for the connected home market, said today it will partner with Oxmoor Corporation, a maker of digital whole-home music systems, to develop next generation, cost-effective, high-quality music systems for new production homes.
Currently, Home Director CEO Michael Liddle said, new production homes rely mostly on Cat5 cable to distribute music and A-Bus is the current standard for this distribution.¬† The company will continue investing in the technology even as it works with Oxmoor to develop a new product line with high-end digital capabilities.¬† These include:
- end-to-end digital signals for higher quality audio
- increased bass and clarity that can be provided by higher power amplifiers
- ability to display meta data on audio controller in each room
