Consumer electronics retailer Circuit City Stores, Inc., will offer select high-definition TV (HDTV) products from Mitsubishi Digital Electronics America, Inc., throughout the U.S. starting in early August 2006.
"We share with Circuit City the same high level of dedication to expert sales training, enabling their associates to fully explain the top-end picture performance advantages of the Mitsubishi 1,080p large-screen HDTVs," said Max Wasinger, senior vice president of sales and marketing for Mitsubishi Digital Electronics America.
Both companies are focused on 1,080p HDTV, the maximum HD display resolution, which is perfectly matched to the latest HD sources, including Blu-ray and HD video games. Mitsubishi plans to offer selective 1,080p Digital Light Processing (DLP) from Texas Instruments and (LCD HDTVs.
"We are excited to offer Mitsubishi's quality, high-performance products to our customers, enabling them to experience the picture performance and high style design of Mitsubishi 1,080p large-screen and 1,080p flat-panel HDTVs," said Doug Moore, executive vice president and chief merchandising officer at Circuit City. "The addition of these products plays a role in our innovative home entertainment enhancements, which we plan to rollout in 500-plus stores by the end of this year."
