At its 8th Meeting held on Feb. 27, 2007, the supervisory board was informed on non-audited financial statements regarding the business performance of Gorenje, d.d., and Gorenje Group for the year 2006.
In the opinion of the management board of Gorenje, d.d., despite unfavorable economic conditions in the 2006 financial year the group continued to grow and prosper, significantly exceeding the planned volume of business operations and achieving the planned objectives regarding business performance, as well as its asset and financial targets.
Gorenje, d.d., reported revenue at 175,359.2 million tolars (approx. U.S. $967 million), an increase of 14.3 percent over last year. Net profit for 2006 stood at 2,902.7 million tolars (approx. $16 million), an increase of more than 18.6 percent over the previous year.
Gorenje Group reported revenue at 266,248.5 million tolars (approx. $1 billion), a 9.5 percent rise over 2005. Net profit for 2006 stood at 5,347.9 million tolars (approx. $29 million), a growth of 4.4 percent.
