Electrolux Kelvinator and Reliance Discuss India Retail Partnership Feb 28, 2007

India retailer Reliance Retail is said to be in talks with India's Electrolux Kelvinator Ltd. on an agreement to source Electrolux-brand washing machines, air-conditioners and refrigerators, according to a report in The Financial Express.

The media outlet says the agreement would be a big boost to Electrolux Kelvinator sales, with Reliance planning to establish 100 stores within 1 year to sell appliances and other consumer durables. Currently, The Financial Express said, the OEM sells through 4,500 multi-brand retail stores across India as well as through 16 Electrolux Kelvinator branded stores.
