An AFX News Limited/Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung report says two of the world's largest appliance makers, Germany's Robert Bosch and Sweden's Electrolux AB, might make bids for Gardena (Frankfurt, Germany), a garden supply company owned by Industri Kapital. Gardena markets electric lawn mowers, electric and non-powered lawn aerators, lawn irrigating products such as sprinklers and hoses, and other landscaping tools.

Robert Bosch GmbH (Stuttgart) is the parent company of appliance maker BSH Bosch und Siemens Hausgeräte GmbH, but also has landscaping products businesses.

Electrolux is currently in the process of separating itself from its outdoor power equipment business, Husqvarna.
