Indesit Company’s Aqualtis washing machine achieved a five-star score in the Australian Standard Test’s Water Rating. The Ariston-brand appliance was the first washer to get this top-level score. The unit was launched in Australia in September and has reportedly been well-received by customers.
Indesit, based in Fabriano, Italy, designed the unit with a new-generation technology called SuperEco, which signals the user when the cycle that is selected allows savings in energy and water of up to 10 percent, thus entering energy class A+. It also allows a Mini Load function, for everyday washing and is designed to provide excellent results even with small loads—saving up to 25-percent water and 40-percent energy.
