Sony Electronics Inc., a supplier of consumer electronics, has named Stan Glasgow to the position of president and chief operating officer. Glasgow succeeds Hideki “Dick” Komiyama, who will now serve as the company’s chairman of the board. Komiyama will continue as corporate executive vice president and senior general manager for Sony Corporation, heading up global sales and marketing. Jay Vandenbree, former senior vice president of strategic sales planning for the company’s Consumer Sales Company, will step into the role of president of consumer sales.
