Electrolux Chairman Will Move to Unilever Jan 16, 2007

Michael Treschow will become chairman of Unilever NV and Unilever PLC at its annual general meeting in May 2007.

Treschow is currently chairman of the board of directors of Swedish-based appliance maker Electrolux.  In mid-December he informed the nomination committee that he will not stand for re-election at the company’s annual general meeting (AGM) in April 2007. He served as Electrolux chairman starting in 2004 and was president and CEO from 1997 to 2002.
