WiFi Grows in the Wireless Home May 23, 2006

A report from research firm Strategy Analytics said the wireless home is becoming a reality for millions of broadband users. The report, Home Network Adoption: WiFi Emerges As Mass Market Phenomenon, authored by Vice President and Principal Analyst David Mercer, said 20 percent of U.S. and Europe broadband subscribers now use WiFi to share their Internet connection between PCs and other devices.

The report predicts that rising ownership of laptop PCs and other portable Internet devices will make WiFi the dominant home networking choice for most broadband subscribers.
