BSH Changes Regional Distributor Agreement to Non-Exclusive May 22, 2006

BSH Home Appliances Corporation announced the transition of its relationship with Oakton Distributors, Inc., which currently serves as BSH's exclusive distributor in the North-Central U.S. region.

BSH will now serve the market direct as part of its Central Region operations.

The transition includes the termination of the Oakton's current exclusive distributor contract, and the institution of a non-exclusive builder-dealer contract, both effective July 1, 2006. BSH said the transition is mutual and amicable.

Franz Bosshard, president and CEO of BSH, said, “Our entry into the Central Region market has been very successful thus far, and we look forward to capitalizing on growth opportunities, and developing stronger dealer relationships.”

As part of BSH’s organization of its Central Region earlier this year, BSH hired additional employees, and improved its infrastructure to heighten service to its customers.
