The Association of Home Appliance Manufacturers (AHAM) finished up a busy Annual Member Meeting on Tuesday, which included the election of new association leaders. APPLIANCE magazine was on-hand at the Ocean Reef Club Hotel in Key Largo, Florida, for the Annual Meeting. AHAM's new slate of volunteer leaders was elected during the General Session on May 1.
Newly elected officers are:
Board Chair Edward V. McAssey, III, CEO of Lasko Products, Inc.
First Vice Chair Jerry G. Ryder, president, In-Sink-Erator, Emerson Electric Co.
Second Vice Chair Mark J. Bissell, president and CEO, BISSELL Homecare, Inc.
Treasurer Alan M. Holaday, vice president, Global Manufacturing Strategy, Whirlpool Corporation.
Newly elected members of the AHAM board of directors include:
Gerald J. Lozinski, vice president, Global Product Development, Jarden Consumer Solutions
Mark L. Balcunas, vice president/general manager, Appliance Controls, Invensys Controls.
Mike L. Carpenter, president, West Bend Housewares LLC, A Focus Products Group Company, will serve as an ex-officio Director.

The AHAM Board approved Division leaders for the 2006-2008 term. In the Major Appliance Division, Franz J. Bosshard, president and CEO, BSH Home Appliances Corporation will serve as board chair and Paul V. Sikir, vice president of Design Engineering, Sub-Zero Freezer Company/Wolf Appliance Company, will serve as vice chair.
In the Portable Appliance Division, Mike L. Carpenter, president, West Bend Housewares LLC, A Focus Products Group Company will serve as board chair and Kathleen L. Diller, vice president, General Counsel and Human Resources, Hamilton Beach/Proctor-Silex, Inc. will serve as vice chair.
In the Floor Care Division, John R. Arganbright, vice president, Panasonic Home Appliance Sales, Panasonic Home Appliances Company of America was re-elected board chair.
In the Supplier Division, Mark L. Balcunas, vice president/general manager, Appliance Controls, Invensys Controls will serve as board chair and David P. Yundt, vice president and director, Stainless Products, Main Steel Polishing Company, Inc. will serve as vice chair.
