The board of HVAC maker Fedders has elected President Michael Giordano as chief executive officer-elect, effective immediately. As of Oct. 1, 2006, he will be president and chief executive officer. Sal Giordano, Jr., Fedders CEO since 1988, continues as executive chairman.
Fedders Corporation, based in Liberty Corner, New Jersey, U.S., is a global producer of air-conditioners, furnaces, air cleaners, dehumidifiers, and humidifiers for residential, commercial and industrial markets. The company's major focus is in North America, China and India.
About Michael Giordano
Michael Giordano joined Fedders in 1990 and served in numerous position in the U.S. and internationally. He was involved in the company's transformation from a North American manufacturer and marketer of room air-conditioners to a global company focused on the much larger, growing and more-profitable central residential, commercial and industrial markets for air treatment products.
Michael Giordano became president in November 2004, assuming operating responsibility for Fedders International, Fedders Residential HVAC and Fedders Commercial/Industrial Products, as well as the company's global engineering, sourcing, product planning, and sales and marketing activities.
