Appliance retailer Sears, Roebuck and Co. introduced its Kenmore Pro(TM) line of professional-feature kitchen appliances. The line will be available throughout the U.S. in September 2006.
"Today's home cooks are sophisticated and demanding from both a culinary taste and design perspective," explained Tina Settecase, vice president and general manager of Home Appliances for Sears. "While the Pro line is comparable to top price-point brands in terms of style and performance, it also is priced to be attainable for the home gourmet."
The Kenmore Pro line marks the brand's first entry in the high-end appliance segment. Sears said the line is positioned above the company's current Kenmore Elite line.
Taking inspiration from the professional kitchen, Kenmore Pro has professional features such as stainless-steel construction, heavy duty knobs, premium cast handles, and high-end analog gauges, which are balanced by consumer-friendly elements such as safety features, precision temperature controls and full surface easy-clean grates.
Initial offerings include 30-inch single and double wall ovens, 36-inch and 30-inch slide-in and drop-in gas and electric cooktops, a 30-inch warming drawer, 30-inch and 36-inch range hoods, a 30-inch duel-fuel range, a professional refrigerator and freezer, side-by-side counter-depth and standard-depth refrigerators, and a 24-inch dishwasher.
